Crafty Starz

Crafty Starz is a business operated and managed by people with learning disabilities living in Horizon Healthcare Homes. Each member contributes to the business on an individual basis and collectively the team create quality tile mosaic products and greetings cards, as well as other arts and craft products. These include place mats, coasters, pictures, mirrors and door signs, as well as a range of handmade greetings cards.

All of the products are handmade and are sold to the public at a reasonable cost. All profits made by the business are shared equally among the employees of Crafty Starz regardless of ability or contribution. Profits are paid in the form of preferred gifts and / or activities.

The business is intended to provide meaningful activity and a sense of purpose to those people who require high levels of support to manage day to day living. Crafty Starz is an unincorporated association which has a management team made up of a small number of people supported and that this will be supported and governed with help from a small number of senior managers of Horizon Healthcare.
