The home is registered with the Care Quality Commission and offers high quality accommodation and support tailored to meet individual requirements.

The home has a number of off-street parking spaces and has its own adapted vehicle to enable service-user transport to community based facilities. The home has an on-call system fitted through-out the building to enable staff and service-users to maximise the responsiveness of the support available.

The site of the home is close to excellent bus and road transport routes and is just two miles from Huddersfield town centre. Nearby, there are excellent facilities such as riding stables for the disabled, a hydro-therapy pool, bowling and restaurants/cafés with disabled access. There is a post office, health centre, pharmacy, places of worship and many other opportunities to suit different tastes.

Staffing levels, in line with Care Quality Commission requirements, will allow for a dedicated baseline staffing of four staff on duty during the day, with a waking night person and on-call sleep-in person on duty at night. The staffing levels allow for a full-time Manager a Deputy Manager and a number of care/support staff.

All staff are police checked before working with service-users and all follow a rigorous selection process. In addition, all staff undergo training before working with service-users in line with the requirements of the Learning Disability Award Framework.
